Launching my first start-up in 2010, I designed and manufactured an innovative renewable energy fashion bag for charging mobile devices on the go.

I secured a cost-effective manufacturing solution in China and created a profitable marketing strategy that targeted B2B and B2C clients.

Each bag is fitted with a 5.5” X 4.5” solar panel, which connects to an in-built Li-Poly battery that automatically charges on exposure to sun/daylight. For users that do not spend so much time outdoor, there is an option of charging this battery using the regular Alternating Current (wall sockets).

 

The battery has a capacity of 5000mAh, while the device is compatible with cell phones- including iPhones, ipods, ipads and other digital devices that can be charged using a USB port.

 

In addition to the technological functions, the Damaris Coolture bag has been aesthetically designed to perform the primary function of a corporate bag- to provide space to safely and conveniently carrying documents, electronic devices and other items in the course of daily transactions.
