I delivered a pitch in front of an audience of over 100 investors and professionals at the Founder Awards Night. This event was sponsored by LBS' Deloitte Institute if Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
I'm Dolapo.
Mission
I'm on a mission to help companies that seek differentiation, stand out through innovation practices, product leadership and bring life changing solutions to the customers they serve whilst inspiring a generation of innovators.
Profile
I’ve spent the past few years designing and developing services, products, processes and experiences for customers and organisations, most of which are human-centred.
A versatile, entrepreneurial innovation strategist, I have extensive start-up and product (merchandise and tech) experience in the UK and the US, as well as expertise in project management, polished during four years of handling large-scale energy projects.
At the heart of my success so far has been a dedication to improving my skills, capitalising on a natural versatility and trainability. I relish opportunities to conceive innovative ideas and design optimal commercial responses to changing environments, with my key aim always to bring meticulous analytics to support effective strategies, tactics and decision-making.
Over the course of my career, I have developed an affinity for building rapport with a range of people to deliver commercial objectives, including coaching multi-disciplinary project teams.
Experience
My career has spanned over 10 years with some study breaks in between. I've worked within oil and gas, launched a renewable energy product (and completed dissertations in renewable energy), project managed for a medical device company, launched a premium fashion eCommerce brand and created a retail last mile delivery software and service.
Qualifications
My qualifications include an MBA in Marketing from London Business School, where I received the Mo Ibrahim Scholarship, and during which I helped launch the Accel awards, an annual business start-up contest. I hold an MSc in Process Technology & Business Management from the University of Warwick, a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and I'm certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
I've also received a Product Management Certificate from the product school, completed a SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager course and an IBM Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certificate.
I also completed a professional designation in Apparel Industry Manufacturing at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California in 2011.
